Our sister brand Wrights Plastics has launched a unique style polling booth designed to build voter confidence ahead of nationwide elections on May 6th.
The hygiene screen styled polling booth is made from 10mm foam PVC to offer a protective barrier for voters. In addition, unlike traditional booths, these are designed to be cleaned and sanitised easily.
For polling station staff, there is more good news. The freestanding lightweight units provide four booths to help the flow of voters on polling day. The design makes the most of available space in the polling station, and the sturdy stands can be placed as required. Once polling is over they can be disassembled and packed away until next needed.
May 6th sees mayoral, local and parliamentary elections across the UK – the first such since the pandemic. Increasing voter confidence in the Covid-security of the polling station is seen as an important factor in determining turnout on the day.
