What is a poster holder?

A poster holder is device or product that holds single ply print in position. This might be by holding the print within a frame or a sleeve.

A framed poster holder can be made from wood or metal. For example a snap frame features aluminium frames that snap to hold the print in place.

More typically commercial poster holders are manufactured from multi-use plastic.

A poster holder is also designed to be used in specific configurations, such as wall mounted poster holders, hanging holders and freestanding holders. There are also specific products such as Slatwall poster holders and outdoor holders.

What size is a poster holder?

The size will correspond to standard print sizes. Typically posters are size A4 and larger and poster holders up to A0 are readily available. Smaller sizes are often called sign holders but the terms are interchangeable.

Therefore an A3 poster holder will hold an A3 print; its actual dimensions will be oversized.

How much does a poster holder cost?

The size of the poster holder is the first factor is deciding the price; the larger the holder the higher the price so this might need to be taken into consideration when deciding on the poster size. Other factors will include material, style and amount of holders purchased.

The best value poster holders are made from some form of multi-use plastic. PVC offers the lowest prices and are suitable for everyday use. Acrylic poster holders are slightly more expensive, but offer a more durable solution – ideal for busy venues.

Not all plastic poster holders are the same. Buy from a reputable POS retail display manufacturer for high quality products that have used ethically sourced material.
