Acrylic has clear advantage for Point of Sale Displays

Durability is critical, but so is style, as they are looking for the best way of displaying your goods to maximise profits and improve the customer experience. They want displays that require minimal maintenance. For these reasons, many retailers choose acrylic for their point of sale displays. Acrylic is a specific type of plastic used in retail display as well as having many industrial applications. Acrylic is versatile and inexpensive. It offers the benefits of glass but at a lower cost. Lightweight, shatterproof and easy to clean, it is clearly a sensible choice.

There are a number of key advantages in using acrylic for point of sale displays. Strength may be the most important one. Although it doesn’t always look it, acrylic can actually support quite a bit of weight, which means the stand could potentially be used to hold something big and heavy, or light and small. Along with strength comes durability. In terms of longevity, as well as standing up to physical impact, acrylic wins out over materials such as metal or wood, for example.

The transparency of acrylic makes it ideal for display uses, sign and poster holders for example. Even glass, another clear material, has a dark green tint at the edges, whereas acrylic is clear all over. In addition to being transparent, acrylic is also much lighter than glass, meaning displays can be moved around easier, or creating wall mounted displays is much easier.  Acrylic is flexible, making it useful for a variety of different display stands. It can take different shapes, and can have either rounded or square corners, depending on your needs.

Acrylic display items are high quality but often low cost compared to other alternatives so it is easy for retailers to build an extensive collection of display items, allowing them to mix and match display for maximum effect.
