May we make a suggestion? Great uses for suggestion boxes

It may seem old skool in the era of big data but suggestion boxes are a great way to collect small data that can have a big impact on your organisation.

Of course the suggestion box is just a way of collecting data in one handy place but the type of data collected is almost limitless.

Obviously as the name implies suggestions are a good place to start. Whether looking for ideas from staff, customers, members, visitors and stakeholders asking people for their thoughts can not only create great ideas it can also help improve brand awareness and identify customer service issues before they problematic.

A suggestion box supports the most important aspect of any such data gathering – anonymity. Completed paper forms are much more anonymous than online data and a secure suggestion box will help maintain confidence in the process.

Of course not all such data collection needs to be anonymous. Instore competitions, sign-ups for loyalty schemes & free stuff etc all need customer info but that info can also be used to boost databases for further marketing.
Most of our range can include print & posters holders that promote such marketing activities, and many include print holders for the forms.

Feedback should also be important for any organisation and immediate post-event paper-based feedback often has a higher take up than online forms but here again confidence is boosted by a secure suggestion box for feedback forms. We are thinking of feedback after events, seminars, training days, inductions etc – information that can help make repeating such an event even more successful.
