We’ve plenty of news to update you about as the next few months will see some new staff appointments, new equipment and new clients as well as some internal shuffling that will help us improve our customer’s experience.
Firstly we have a couple of goodbyes. As many will know Bill Porter is retiring as General Manager after many years’ fantastic service to the company. Bill joined us in 1972 and over two periods has accumulated over 25 years dedicated service. We wish Bill all the best in his retirement.
We also say goodbye – for the time being at least – to Izzy James. Izzy is taking 12 months Adoption Leave as she and husband Mark take on the care of their beautiful adopted daughter. She’ll be using all the child minding skills she learned working alongside Lee, Lorraine and Andy and we can’t wait to see her back at work!
We’ve also made two important senior appointments. Ann Rattigan has been appointed to a Project Management position. Ann was formerly Consultant, Property and Store Development at Marks & Spencer. She also previously worked as Procurement and Project Manager at Chilfen Joinery.
She’ll bring lots of experience and an insight into corporate management that will help us expand our portfolio of big brands and High Street clients.
Karl Franklin is our latest Account Handler. He has a wealth of sector experience gained at GP Plastics and d3 Display.
We’ve also appointed a Marketing Manager. Brett has worked with us for a number of years writing Press Releases, blogs and website copy and he was delighted to appointed on a more permanent basis. He’ll be supported by our latest Apprentice; we are currently recruiting an Apprentice in Social Media, Marketing and Admin with Birmingham-based partners SkillWise.
We are also seeking a Trainee Sales Representative – no experience needed, just plenty of drive and enthusiasm.
Internal Changes, new equipment and a big name new client
We’ve made a few internal changes to make sure we keep on improving the service we offer to customers. Lorraine Watkins has changed hours so we can now respond to calls between 8.30 to 5.30 (instead of 9-5 at present).
James Beasley will be taking over a more enhanced Purchasing role, driving through cost-savings and improved delivery. Nick Wright will be tasked with overseeing the running of the whole office functions.
And in more good news Andy Watkins will be spending more time out of the office! In truth he’ll be tearing around the country developing new business and making sure our premium clients are getting the service they deserve.
We’ve also invested in some new equipment again with the purchase of a second Zund G3 XL-3200 with Head Changing Capabilities. There’s little change from €150,000 but it was needed to meet increased demand and is a sign of our commitment to continued investment.
Finally we are pleased to announce a major new contract. Coral (part of the Coral Gala Group) are one of the Big 3 bookmakers. After many months hard work from Andy Watkins and the team we have been awarded a contract to supply internal displays to their network of UK betting shops.
Commercial Director Andy added “The new recruits and new equipment are a sign of the continued growth of the company. We’re able to win major contracts with big names such as Coral because of the hard work of the whole company. Clients love our quality – whether that is in the product, the delivery or the customer service. We are close to signing-off on some major new contracts – so watch this space for even more news!”
